Contemporary Impressionism
This is my first painting of 2025 and the first painting in a series which explores the light and form of waterlilies on my own garden pond. I noticed the reflections and light on my little pond one evening and was inspired to capture the magic of the scene. The reflections and sparkling light were particularly interesting and I hope this large oil painting captures the dramatic light and atmosphere of the evening.
