Freesias and Daffodils

£ 125.00

From an original botanical watercolour of Freesias and Daffodils.

This charming botanical watercolour was painted from life using freesias and daffodils. The composition was slowly built up by adding more and more blooms, finally the bumble bee and butterflies were added last. The intensity of colour and detail was achieved by adding many glazes of paint.

The original painting was purchased in loving memory of Margaret Smithies and now hangs in Fairfield Hospital, Bury.

Prints are limited to only 50 and signed and numbered by the artist. The print is double mounted in off white mount board and will arrive ready for framing accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. The Certificate gives the title and edition number and is signed and dated. Ask your framer to attach the certificate to the back of your new frame. Giclee prints use the most up to date printing process, and are printed onto 290gsm acid-free museum grade bamboo paper  using only the best inks, the prints have the remarkable colour saturation and continuous tone characteristics one would expect of an original painting and are thus nearly indistinguishable from the original watercolour.

The printer is a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild.

Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed and numbered by the artist.
