Bullfinches and Blackberries

£ 175.00

From an original watercolour of Bullfinches and Blackberries.

I brought some blackberries in to paint and quickly decided to paint a pair of bullfinches on the prickly stems. Bullfinches really enjoy feasting on these juicy sweet berries and are such a lovely warm Autumn colour.
The Bullfinch is a quiet, secretive but a heavily built finch that usually spends its time among the branches and dense undergrowth of woodlands. They eat fruit and are especially fond of blackberries and are a frequent visitor to my garden.
This painting was a challenging composition and took many hours of work to build up the rich textures and colours.

Prints are limited to only 50 and signed and numbered by the artist. The print is double mounted in off white mount board and will arrive ready for framing accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. The Certificate gives the title and edition number and is signed and dated. Ask your framer to attach the certificate to the back of your new frame. Giclee prints use the most up to date printing process, and are printed onto 290gsm acid-free museum grade bamboo paper  using only the best inks, the prints have the remarkable colour saturation and continuous tone characteristics one would expect of an original painting and are thus nearly indistinguishable from the original watercolour.

The printer is a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild.

Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed and numbered by the artist.
