This painting was inspired by Emily Bronte's classic novel Wuthering Heights and portrays Cathy Linton Heathcliff who is at last free and happy outside on the moor. Heathcliff has died and she can look forward to life with her cousin Hareton.
I spent most of my own childhood living on the edge of these same moors and I loved rambling and exploring this beautiful wild open landscape.
