Watercolour painting of a mother grey seal and her pup.
Mother seals leave their pups for many hours while they hunt at sea. The pups stay on the beach and wait. I was very lucky to witness this magical reunion between mother and pup and decided this would be my first seal painting. I worked from sketches and photographs taken at Cromer Beach and Horsey Beach both on the North Norfolk coast and have given the scene a pink morning glow.
