Golden Fall

PanPastel and pastel sticks Norfolk landscape of Autumn Oak trees.

While on a regular walk one evening I noticed the sun shining through these two beautiful oak trees and decided they would make a lovely subject to paint. The light was so beautiful but unfortunately lasted only minutes at it was quite late, so plen-air painting was not possible on this occasion. Instead I took some quick charcoal notes and photographs and completed the painting from the comfort of my studio.
